Just had a good look around the new Ferrari 458 Italia.

Luca de Montezemolo and Michael Schumacher presented the new mid-engined beauty.

It's a big car, substantially longer than an F430, but a good deal more elegant.

Auto-Journals is proud to be the first to reveal the secret behind those F40-esque triple tail pipes:

the middle one is actually two!

I was initially sceptical about moving the wiper and lights functions onto the steering wheel, but the rocker switches do look like they'll work well once you get used to them.

I still think they're the answer to a question nobody asked though.

More impressions later, I've got some more gawping to do (and some of it might even be at cars...)
