CHM's Bidart is Supermoto Champion!
Roger Hensley's Supermoto team has made the best of a one man show. With Roger at the wheel driving the truck, working on the bikes and handling all the team administration work, you could say he does it all and then some. Roger, an ex-rider from Rosamond, CA, has had the dream of winning a National Supermoto Championship since he was a young rider.
The team consists of 4 riders. 3 in the Premium Class, Sylvain Bidart, Jason Conlon and Micky Dymond. Dustin Hoffman is the junior rider running in the 250 Lites. Heading into the final round of the season, it was looking very good for the CHM team. Sylvain Bidart is a French rider who travels to America from Europe to compete with Roger's team in the series. A strong season put Sylvain 2nd in the points and only 3 points back from the leader Jeff Ward as they headed to Miller MotorSports Park.
Qualifying 2nd on the grid gave Sylvain a great starting point. He ended up finishing 3rd in the first main and 2nd in the final round giving him the Championship for the CHM team and an emotional victory.
Micky Dymond finished out the season points in 5th and Jason Conlon in 7th. Dustin Hoffman took the Lites podium finish for the season with 3rd.
Congratulations to Roger Hensely and his team of dedicated riders. Your passion and commitment to the sport is an inspiration and we at Auto-Journals applaud you and your accomplishments.
